A great surprise to say the least, nV’s first eSport move of 2016 will involve a game that is not out yet.

While still in beta-testing, Blizzard’s Overwatch managed to live up to the hype it has been creating for months now and delivered a fresh and fast-paced multiplayer experience during the first beta in November of 2015. While under the spotlight, a competitive community gathered around quickly, with players from many PC shooters ( Team Forteress 2, Dirty Bomb, Firefall, Shootmania, Nosgoth… ) jumping in to play the promising game.

And so, big eSports organizations decided to jump in too, with SK Gaming to start, shortly followed by EnVyUs. The team now representing nV is formerly known as Team Hubris and has been around for close to 10 years in many PC shooters. The roster of 6 is composed of two damage dealers being Ronnie “Talespin” DuPree Jr. and Matt “Coolmatt69” Iorio working around the tank players Michael “Ras” Penna and Faraaz “Stoop” Waris. The two newest members to the team, John “Minstrel” Fisher III and James “Esper” Southall will assume the supporting role.

While playing during the Overwatch beta last Novermber, nV won 6 out of the 7 tournaments they played in, ending up the month considered as the best team in the game thus far. The newest boys in blue also ended up as the #1 Overwatch team according to GosuGamers‘ ranking.

While the date of a new beta period for Blizzard’s game is still unknown, the hype around the anticipated shooter is still growing as the editor of the game has yet to mention eSports. The community is not worried considering Blizzard’s interest into competitive gaming and awaits more informations about Overwatch’s future.

We cannot wait to see this team in action on a fresh new shooter game in 2016 ! Until then all we can do is find some VoDs on Youtube and hype up… #EoD
